The new 22,100 square foot complex was rebuilt in 2009 and houses the fire and rescue departments and their administrative headquarters, department-wide training facilities, an emergency operations center, and public meeting spaces, as well as space to be used as a fully accessible voter polling station. The new station is also connected to the existing 5,600 square foot Hydraulion Engine and Hose Co. No. 1, which was renovated as part of the project. Among many of the building’s sustainable features is an underground cistern that collects rainwater for use in washing vehicles. The new facility is slated to be one of the first LEED certified stations in New England. Address: 4 Annawamscutt Drive, Bristol, 02809
